Wednesday Wonders

Oh, Wednesday. You have been my favorite day for years. Oh ye middle of days, everything falls downhill towards the weekend after you have your turn in the sun. Also known as "hump day," you sure have a way of breaking things down and saying, "Hang in there, it's almost Friday."

Here are a few Wednesday Wonders (videos, songs, web sites, whatevers) that have captured my attention this past week. Maybe it will lighten up your remaining weekdays as you fall toward the weekend.

Songs: "Shout", by Donora. Also check out the video to their song "I Think I like You," in which a girl is hula hooping and makes me smile. "Bright, Bright, Bright" by Dark, Dark, Dark. also, "The Con" by Tegan and Sara.

Web Sites: From the makers of NaNoWriMo comes: "Write a script in a month! EGADS! It's Script Frenzy!" The Selvedge Yard is lots of old photographs and misc. Taxidermy Ravishing Beasts... cause I like bizarre. Alice in Wonderland TEA CUPS AND DINNERWARE! Emerald Isle Surf Report sometimes makes me glad of where I live. I keep a journal and write in it almost every day and Old Fashioned Living (a web site I had to visit for a homework assignment) reiterates how good it is to keep a journal.

Books: Very much into Wicked by Gregory Maguire right now and going to see the Broadway play in May (insert geeking out noises here). I know I'm a little late on the reading of this book but better late than never. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Aroblewski is delicious. A collection of comic books called Flight. Flight 6 came out in 2009... ahh mazing.

Video: Go ahead. Scream or laugh out loud when you watch this one.

P.S. what things have made you wonder this week?

  1. I'm reading Wicked, too. We get to see the show on Saturday. I'm thrilled.

    Thanks for brightening my day.
