Cauldron Bubble: An Apple Cider Recipe

Today's recipe is brought to you a mite bit late due to getting the dodge out of hell to see Louis CK in Durham. The smiley muscles, they ache! :)

I'd been looking for an easy, yet delicious, apple cider recipe and this one is it! Hope you all enjoy!

Ingredients:
4-5 cups apple juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a saucepan and stir until all the spices have dissolved. Chanting of Shakespearian Witches' rhyme optional.

  1. Apple cider for when your sick: apple cider (simply apple juice), cinnamon sticks, cloves (or nutmeg), whiskey, one packet of emergency, multivitamin.

On the stove heat apple cider with cinnamon sticks and cloves or nutmeg. Ad whiskey while cider is on the stove or pour how much you like in your own cup. Stir in one packet of emergency to your own cup. Take the multi vitamin with the apple cider.

  2. Love it, but think Shakespearian Witches' rhyme a necessity! Also really like the "for when you are sick" version. Hope I don't have to try it, but perhaps it needs to be a once per weekend to stave off becoming sick. what do you think?

  3. Oo, good Idea Kemp! The original recipe for this called for 3 oz of spiced rum, but I managed to forget that when making this batch.

Jakie, I agree! I'm up for trying it out just to make sure. You know, can't leave some things to chance! ;)
